Allika Hostel in Hiiumaa

Our cosy and safe hostel suits both vacationers and businessmen. The newly renovated guest rooms are situated in one complex of the historical Suuremõisa castle. The complex is locally known as "the girls' house" and its history stretches back to the 18th century.

The castle belonged to Otto Reinhold von Ungern-Sternberg who has gone to history as a pirate and the so-called "Ungru lunatic" who used false "lighthouses" to lure ships passing the island of Hiiumaa upon the Hiiu grounds, after which the stranded vessels were robbed of their cargo.

We offer accommodation in two buildings, for 10-20 people, depending on the company and the season of the year. On the three storeys of the main building there are rooms of different size and price range that can be equally enjoyed by vacationing friends, a company of peace- and privacy-loving businessmen or a couple who wishes to be alone. Our guests may also use the sauna. In summer you can spend the nights in a log house with a fireplace room, a kitchen corner, toilet and shower. In the log house there are 7-10 sleeping berths.

If you love cosiness, Allika hostel is an excellent choice for spending your vacation and relaxation in Hiiumaa. Don't hesitate to ask for more information, we are sure to find a suitable solution to satisfy your wishes.
